$19/pound. It’s not personal, I’m raising prices for everyone.

This might not be what you’re looking for, but this couple kind of hits that spot for me.
Truthfully, I find them very charming, but they often make huge mistakes or risky gambles that backfire. It’s always a bit dire when the things go wrong because it’s obvious they’re not wealthy.
One such example is when they left a property that they had spent years renovating only to move to Florida (a place they know nothing out) and bought a low-lying property that floods 2ft during the rainy season.
Here’s that video: https://youtu.be/c0QNHFE5LkI?feature=shared
I would say the Florida saga starts at this next video and continues on for a couple of years: https://youtu.be/lkkZDUp7fq4?feature=shared

The WordPress co-founder’s first offer was aimed at people who didn’t align with his views on Automattic’s fight with hosting provider WP Engine. The first batch of people who left Automattic included some top people at the company, including the head of WordPress.com (Automattic’s commercial WordPress hosting arm), Daniel Bachhuber; head of programs and contributor experience Naoko Takano; the principal architect for AI, Daniel Walmsley; and WordPress.org’s executive director Josepha Haden Chomphosy.
Huh, I wasn’t even aware this was going on

Holy crap, did I just laugh at a German meme without knowing any German? (English does suck, though ;p)

This is the type of “buried treasure” story that kids have these days.
I just imagine a movie like The Goonies but instead of talking about a cave full their treasure, they tell stories about the “flash drive full of gold” that’s buried somewhere in the deepest reaches of the garbage dump.

lol, definitely missed some important context.
I guess it thought OOP meant “clean” as in how do you dress the bird before you cook it. (As in: “clean a fish” means to filet a fish and prep it for cooking.)

This is the future I imagined when I used to watch the Jetsons.
However, I never comprehended what a big data company might do with my vital statistics (privacy)

Heading into the peak holiday shopping season, 74% of shoppers plan to use credit cards to make their purchases, NerdWallet found.
Another 28% will tap into savings to buy holiday gifts and 16% will lean on buy now, pay later services. NerdWallet polled more than 1,700 adults in September.
1700 isn’t a huge sample size, but still pretty interesting figures.

I actually did a little research and apparently it’s sacrosanct to a Britton to even suggest heating water in a microwave.

I usually microwave a mug for 1.5 minutes, but this could also be nice

Holy shit this is some #theydidthemath stuff.
6 months at paying full price for the foam is a ridiculously quick turnaround given the lifespan of a fridge (easily 5 years). Plus, you can probably reuse the prior fridge’s foam on the next fridge, so that makes it even better.
Why don’t people do this more often? If the gap in my current “fridge space” wasn’t so small already, I’d be tempted to go find some foam.

Excellent point about getting styrofoam for free (I hadn’t even thought of that). With that in mind, the only cost would be for time spent gathering the foam and then covering the fridge (I could probably do this in less than an hour, tbh).
Thanks for this comment!
Table saw to get straight sides. Belt sander to get a curve to the blade tip. The spine doesn’t have a curve like a traditional bokken, but that doesn’t keep me from tucking this bad boy into my belt loop and walking around the house like a samurai :)
So incredibly excited to see this community! I haven’t played Balatro yet because isn’t currently on a platform I have access to, but I found out about the game from a Youtuber I like who talks about heat indie games. So excited to see this community grow and hope one day the game will come to iOS.

Was just browsing my favorite communities, commenting on posts I found really interesting, and engaging with other users who wanted to have conversations. … and not a single paid ad in my feed. I effing love this platform.
