All financial advisors I've talked to always tried to sell their mutual funds or some bank product to me. One of them even said the s&p 500 is the worst etf to invest into.

Same, after a few years you see them show up on steam and all the reviews are

    • "All my lobbies are empty"
    • "It takes 30+ mins to get into a game with 2 other players"
    • "I'm only getting matched against bots"

For those (like me) who was wondering what the Fermi Paradox was:

The Fermi paradox is the discrepancy between the lack of conclusive evidence of advanced extraterrestrial life and the apparently high likelihood of its existence. As a 2015 article put it, "If life is so easy, someone from somewhere must have come calling by now."

  • Has anyone noticed that oracle keeps changing the idle requirements for compute instances? I just checked [their docs](https://docs.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/Content/FreeTier/freetier_topic-Always_Free_Resources.htm#compute__idleinstances): - CPU utilization for the 95th percentile is less than 20% - Network utilization is less than 20% - Memory utilization is less than 20% (applies to A1 shapes only) [In May it was 15%](https://web.archive.org/web/20230521090113/https://docs.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/Content/FreeTier/freetier_topic-Always_Free_Resources.htm#compute__idleinstances) and [in March it was 10%](https://web.archive.org/web/20230314183112/https://docs.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/Content/FreeTier/freetier_topic-Always_Free_Resources.htm#compute__idleinstances). Is there anyway I can keep my compute instance without having them keep reclaiming it?
