How many people have "fallen out" of windows just in 2024 alone, it surely has to be double digits now?

Honestly, things like this make me just not want to target Windows for anything I make as a developer. There's just so much weird shit like this that dealing with it all is just not worth my time in my opinion. I remember when I first head about this from a friend like a year or so ago when he told me that his new mouse was making all his games lag, I brushed it off as a like "whatever, that sounds ridiculous and is probably just a coincidence" only to stumble upon the same issue on the SDL issue tracker some weeks later and I was just like, what the fuck?

I haven't played it in a while, do they still have the mode where it's just real players and no AI? I remember hearing about it getting removed or something because the player base isn't large enough for it which is sad because it'd be a even better game if you could play with a full squad of real players.

::: spoiler spoiler It's going to differ for everyone so but if you wanted to try it you can find similar rechargeable vibrators that are smaller and cheaper (like around $25-30) on Aliexpress, which is where everything on Amazon and a lot of those other stores is drop shipped from anyway. Obligatory warning about no matter what site you buy this kind of stuff from, always make sure it's made out of body safe materials that are non-porous so they can be cleaned properly and not harbor bacteria. :::

I also feel this way. A lot of people in the Trump crowd actually see a lot of the same problems that we see, except they think the cause of these problems is [insert some extremely racist thing] or "muh woke" and not capitalism, but on the other hand, seemingly every person I've talked to who's firmly in the vote blue no matter who circle seems to think everything is great actually and that they've never been better.

I don't think the idea of it is terrible, I can see it's use cases, but I think it being implemented in MySQL directly is extremely silly. Imagine having to have all the instances of your database server running on some beefy hardware to handle the prompts, just do the actual processing on a separate machine with the appropriate hardware then shove it into the database with another query when it's done.

A lot of more advanced drones have automatic object avoidance where they do small adjustments like that to avoid hitting something if it detects something is in the way, could have also just been the operator flinching which is pretty funny if that's the case

I know a lot of people suggest Proton and it seems mostly fine, but their free plan does not offer SMTP access which I use for quite a few things and I don't like the idea of paying for an e-mail service because I'm broke and I don't like the idea of potentially losing my e-mail account because I couldn't afford it when it comes time to renew it. There's Riseup which seems really nice, but it seems you need an invite from an existing user which is also a bummer for me. I took a quick glance at their site and it seems you can't request an account anymore either because they had an issue with spam accounts in the past. :( Is there anything else that maybe I'm unaware of? or maybe someone here even has a Riseup account that'd be willing to invite me?

Fun fact: Icebreaker Lenin was the world's first nuclear-powered ship that launched in 1957, exactly 40 years after the revolution. In 40 years the Soviets managed to go from an agrarian feudal state to harvesting the atom for power and just a few years after this ship was launched, traversing the cosmos. :)
You can actually see a bunch of these tiles in Seattle's Tashkent Park still to this day, though they're not as well preserved as the ones in Tashkent which is a shame because a few of the ones I saw in pictures were really wholesome.

Really weird (/s) how quickly it went from a couple of Chinese tourists asking politely not be filmed to the guy embracing the racist Winnie the Pooh stereotype and talking about how oppressed Hong Kong and Taiwan are.
