In 2016 they said it couldn't happen here. They laughed at the idea of trump getting elected. They were shocked when he was elected and racism once again reared its ugly head. In Germany they said it couldn't happen here and look what happened. Now we have Trump, the racists have come out of the woodwork, project 2025 was revealed and we're very close to the end of America if we don't do something.

I find it odd that when filling out a form that asked me what my religion is one of the choices is Atheist. What now? That is the that opposite of religion.

I love summarize page. I can even get a summary from paywalled websites. Sometimes i just need the gist of the article anyway.
Let me preface by saying, I have my SUV all set up with a bed and a kitchen and all the amenities I need to camp out in the woods. I like it that way I'm enjoying myself I see no reason to change. A couple of times I have mentioned that when seeing a doctor and the next thing I know, here comes the social worker with a stack of papers. I tell them that I'm doing fine. That I like how I'm living. I didn't ask for any unsolicited help. And they don't seem to listen at all. At some point they just leave me with a bunch of paperwork in a huff. I don't understand why they get so upset just because I don't want their help.

Recently we had one of the largest fires in California history called the Park Fire. The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection said Wednesday morning that 277 structures have been destroyed by the fire and 29 structures have been damaged. On the TV they interviewed a man whose house survived. He said, "I thank god my house was spared". So, let me get this straight. God destroyed 277 homes but saved yours? If that's god's will then god is an asshole.
My mom has a list of prayers that she claims were answered by God. As I look at that list I noticed that I did most of those things. When I mention that she says, God works through people. If I have to do all the work what do I need God for?
