Don't want to do spam! but we are a small studio and we are trying to get a bit of attention to our next game, its an inventory management auto battler set in a world of sci fi parodies of big franchises, so if anyone wants to give it a try it will be really appreciated. Thank you guys! https://store.steampowered.com/app/2994150/Konfronto/ We have just been working on the game for the last five-six months after our last game was cancelled so it can be a bit rough around the edges but we think its a fair bit of fun so hopefully you can enjoy it too

Thank you a lot! We have zero marketing so every download and wishlist counts
I know spam is not allowed, and im not that active of a poster but might as well give it a try. We (the studio where i work tbh) are releasing a demo of our game (less than 6 months in development) for the current steam next fest, its a small game we have been working on since our last project was cancelled because our publisher went off, so hopefully we can gain some traction with this demo. As i said it has been just 6 months in development so its a bit rough around the edges but hopefully you guys can give it a try and have some fun if only with the references to sci fi franchises and all that.
its a small inventory management game in a sci fi setting. We only worked on it for like 4-5 months after our last game was cancelled and we downsized a lot so its pretty rough around the edges but i hope it will be fun if you guys give it a try

Which artifact was damaged? Because even in your link the article says:
"The New York Times’ ran an article titled “Climate Activists Throw Mashed Potatoes on Monet Painting,” further describing it in the subtitle as “the latest attack on widely admired art.” However, it is not until the fifth paragraph that the article notes that “the food did not cause any damage to the piece.” This raises the question, does the public differentiate between “damaging pieces of art” and “pretending to damage pieces of art” in their views of these non-violent, disruptive protests?
Also comparing having to make people understand the degree of damage we get from climate change vs christianity, its just an amazing analogy lol, what can i even say after that?. Have a nice day, i think you really need it.

The worse part is that they started with a plain wrong argument, this is not to attract the attention of billionaires, altough it can too. This is to catch the attention of everyone, to create a higher mass that is needed to change something, and tbh they are making more people aware of the issues, even if they get some stupid arguments against them when they are really doing no real harm as far as im aware.

Maybe it would be safer in a more known freelancer platform like Fiverr? Im sure there are problems with that one too, but im also sure she will have more protection than in an unknown one.
edit: they even have already a category for video editing fiverr.com/categories/video-animation/video-editing

No, i'm pretty sure im also against AI. Im against artist not being paid for their work and being replaced by subpar machine learning regurgitating their art without any sense

I know, i did read them, it just seems absurd to keep a review up that tells people to buy them, and also at the same time do an article that talks about how those consoles are hurting the retro scene and you shouldnt buy them

Im not defending the lawsuit, im talking about what most people is talking about here without knowing shit about the case, the companies or the games. PocketPair whole schtick has been copying other games, from visual aesthethics to mechanics, you can look at their steam. Also, btw. that article doesnt even talk about what Nintendo is suing for or not, https://www.eurogamer.net/nintendo-sues-palworld-developer-for-infringement-of-multiple-patents that article is on the response of PocketPair to this link, and all nintendo has said pretty much is: "Nintendo will continue to take necessary actions against any infringement of its intellectual property rights including the Nintendo brand itself," the company's statement today concludes, "to protect the intellectual properties it has worked hard to establish over the years." Pretty much they broadly have talked about intelectual property and multiple patent infringements.

Cant know if you are for real, most of those designs are barely the same despite being based on the same creatures, against how palworld straight up copied designs with a few changes? Seriously, fuck Nintendo and their shitty and buggy Pokemon games, but the Dragon Quest vs Pokemon designs are not even close to what Pocket Pair, masters of copying games did here.
stormesp 1mo ago • 31%
For real, its fun to see people shitting on Nintendo on this one, i dislike them as the most, but its absurd here. Pocket Pair just releases copies of other games, they also released a Hollow Knight copy just before Palworld, and on Palworld they almost copied the design 1 to 1 in some creatures. There is a reason you dont see Nintendo suing the other million pokemon clones, which is because they dont went of and almost even used the same geometry for some models. They straight up copied Pokemon like Lucario, Luxray, Cinderace, Cobalion and a bunch of others to the point where people showed their triangles and it was pretty certain they used ripped assets as the base for them.

Except most studies say that when you limit car traffic and have the streets be walkable more people walk through that street and the business of most shop increases?

All they did was kick a bunch of mods that were harming a community and trying to create drama without even having the balls to discuss openly the reasons they were banning people. The comments about how a moderator that was there for 3 months should have more power than a moderator that had been there for 11 days (despite one of them not having the wellbeing of the community as a priority) is an amazing joke. https://lemmy.world/post/19731457 everyone should read this post and they will quickly understand after reading op and the comments from people like jerkface why this happened. Posting a modlog without context or explanation is acting in pretty bad faith here.
Also, as a community (lemmy as a whole) we should think if we want to keep people like Beaver who moderates 100+ communities, there are a lot of people moderating way more than they can chew and becoming really stupid, as also seen recently with the bot drama in news on lemmy world. We really love to be repeating reddits problems.
So far i haver a 1/100 Full Mechanics barbatos, 2 small sds i got for cheap, 3 Digimon Amplified and a Yugioh Amplified. Im looking at what to build next and im thinking on sticking to 1/100. Whats your opinion on that? Also, have you guys done any house moving with gunplas? im positive i will be moving in less than 2 years or so and im more worried about having to move the gunplas than the figures as they are more flimsy
Im from Spain, but even with the latest updates i still cant seem to uninstall Edge, anyone has an idea? thought that the updates to be DMA compliant was already available
I have been thinking about this, there are some videogames i usually revisit every year or so like some older Fable and AC games. I dont reread comics that much, outside some outstanding issues like The brave and the mold from Tom King's Batman or Lemire's Green Arrow, but those have been more occasional rereadings more than a yearly ritual.
I dont read much (if any) european comics, but this one catched my interested, its on my local library but not avalaible currently so im waiting on it, opinions? It reminded me of Assasins Creed which i used to love, specially the french comics like the Ankh of Isis Trilogy and Hawk Trilogy
Seems like Turtle beach is entering the simracing market. Seems like a decent deal for 650$ for base+wheel+pedals+buttons

Thought it would be good to start some conversation going on this community, what are you guys playing? Im mid way through Klonoa 1 right now, was playing Shin Budokai 2 too but repeating the same combat 100 times and the weird difficulty spikes made me drop it, specially as my hands hurts with the Go on such an action tight game.
Yesterday they had a showcase for Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown which was kind of poor, meanwhile, several workers at Kylotonn are at a strike, this is what they are asking for: -Negotiation of a remote work policy with the trade unions -Negotiation of minimum wages and compensation with trade unions, in place of unilateral management decisions that penalize a significant proportion of workers -Immediate implementation by management of concrete measures to put an end to the pathogenic and authoritarian management style that threatens workers’ mental health and cohesion -Negotiation of working conditions adjustment processes, which currently have to be negotiated on a case-by-case basis with great difficulties -Opening of compulsory annual negotiations and systematic negotiation with trade unions for all matters falling within their prerogatives -Systematic information and consultation of the CSE on matters falling within its purview -Full transparency on the negotiations between Nacon and Kylotonn to find out where the deadlock lies, by including employee representatives in these negotiations -Same level of transparency for the group’s other studios -Immediate wage increases throughout the Nacon group at least equal to those at Kylotonn after renegotiation.
