Hi. So, not all of the software you use will work on Linux (which btw isn’t a company but to put it simply a family of open source operating systems sharing a common core):

    • Affinity don’t offer a Linux version so you will need to try something like WINE to run the Windows versions.

    • Blender will defo work, not sure about the others

    • Davinci will work, has a Linux version

    • VSCode has a Linux version

    • File explorers work.

Ubuntu sadly is not what it was.

I’d suggest Pop_OS or Fedora- I think Fedora used to have a media oriented “Fedora Design Suite” version.

Pasteurized milk includes remnants of H5N1 bird flu, U.S. officials say

Yes. I was wondering about the raw milk issue - if there is an upsurge of H5N1 in cows, possibly without farmers sometimes realising, other times fully knowing but ignoring it for whatever reason, then there will be a surge of H5N1 infections among those drinking unpasteurised milk.

Forgive me that it's Reddit, it's too funny not to share.

Just discovering the amazing Pico-8 games and I noticed my Miyoo Mini with OnionOS has Pico8 emulation. However, I imagine one would need cartridges for it and not binaries - but cartridges are rarely distributed on platforms like itch.io. Can anyone tell me how the ecosystem is supposed to work?

I’ve just discovered the truly awesome range of games offered for fantasy consoles on itch.io and I would love to play some of them on the Miyoo Mini. OnionOS seems to be able to emulate Pico8, but can anyone tell me what the methodology is? I imagine that one would need the .PNG cartridges, but these are not always distributed, only binaries. How does the Pico8 ecosystem work on Miyoo Mini?

Hi guys, So I've been experiencing a lot of issues lately with my Macbook losing WiFi after waking up from sleep. I have no idea what is causing it, it was never an issue until about 3 weeks ago when I started using an external monitor and a dock (but have no idea whether it is correlated). Tried all the tricks I read online: Reset SMC, PRAM, remove all saved WiFi networks and locations, create new ones, reset router... The only thing that seems to fix it is if I reboot the Macbook. I fiddled around with the Network settings and set the macbook to use "DHCP with Manual address" and that seems to give me partial connectivity: some apps will work, some won't. Some websites will load, some others won't. Does anyone have a permanent fix for this? It's incredibly annoying that I step away from the workstation for 5 minutes, come back, and find that I have no internet again.

Hi! I'm looking at manually entering quite a bit of relational data and I am wondering whether anyone knows of a nice GUI tool to do it? What I'm looking at doing is something like matching up names with addresses. I have a table with a list of people, and I have a list of properties. I want to create a table where I could pair up people with properties. I would like the ID's to be entered into the Database, but I would like to see names and addresses on the front-end. Preferably when I click into the new relational table's columns it would give me an auto-complete list of possible values as I type. (So offer suggestions for names / addresses). I'm looking for something web-based or MacOS / Linux compatible. Does anyone know of such a tool?
