@nekothegamer
Ahh thanks
So techies out there, what does this mean? “Unlike Twitter's restriction on sharing links from rival platforms like Mastodon and Instagram, [#Threads](https://kbin.social/tag/Threads) is expected to be interoperable with Mastodon, utilizing the ActivityPub protocol. This move enables more connectivity between different platforms.” Does it mean we can follow people and see their posts here? [\#fediverse](https://kbin.social/tag/fediverse)

Whether the data is with Reddit or the hackers, what difference does it make lol
"Reddit represents one of the largest data sets of just human beings talking about interesting things," Huffman said. "We are not in the business of giving that away for free." You and me, we're just data sets. Years of interaction with fellow human beings, building community, sharing insight and creativity…it’s all just data. Data to be mined and monetized. Huffman's not mad Reddit was scraped for a chatbot. He's mad he wasn't paid for the privilege. It's his data, you see. His. Not yours.

The show adult content is turned off.
Why so much porn stuff is populating on the timeline. Not keeping a check on this can backfire on the the growth of [@kbin](https://kbin.social/m/kbin).social [\#AskKbin](https://kbin.social/tag/AskKbin)

Firstly, after consuming meat, they were not sitting in an AC room glued to their smartphones or laptops. They had natural cardio. Second, animal meat that we consume today, those are bred by us specifically for meat production. It ain’t healthy.

Good one. 👍
Why is that I’m not able to follow [@kbin](https://kbin.social/m/kbin).social from my mastodon account? The request is showing as pending. I’m I doing something wrong, or is it not possible. I’m able to follow kbin users though from my mastodon account. [\#AskKbin](https://kbin.social/tag/AskKbin)

Hi, please share the download link. I’m unable to find it in AppStore.
Attached: 1 image THREAD: I made a series of images for an Instagram post I made about migrating to the fediverse. I figured I'd share with anyone else who wants to use, so I included some blank template versions too. DM if you'd like the Adobe Illustrator file so you can make your own edits. And please,comment if I got anything wrong so I can correct it. Hope this helps. Beautifully illustrated:
[\#SocialMedia](https://kbin.social/tag/SocialMedia) [#Reddit](https://kbin.social/tag/Reddit) [#DigitalCommons](https://kbin.social/tag/DigitalCommons): "The internet’s best resources are almost universally volunteer run and donation based, like Wikipedia and The Internet Archive. Every time a great resource is accidentally created by a for-profit company, it is eventually destroyed, like Flickr and Google Reader. Reddit could be what Usenet was supposed to be, a hub of internet-wide discussion on every topic imaginable, if it wasn’t also a private company forced to come up with a credible plan to make hosting discussions sound in any way like a profitable venture. We are living through the end of the useful internet. The future is informed discussion behind locked doors, in Discords and private fora, with the public-facing web increasingly filled with detritus generated by LLMs, bearing only a stylistic resemblance to useful information. Finding unbiased and independent product reviews, expert tech support, and all manner of helpful advice will now resemble the process by which one now searches for illegal sports streams or pirated journal articles. The decades of real human conversation hosted at places like Reddit will prove useful training material for the mindless bots and deceptive marketers that replace it." How to share the posts to my mastodon profile? I don’t have any followers here, so I don’t think boost would do any good.

I can see your point, but I’m not surprised at that behaviour. Everyone became a revolutionary for 48 hrs. In a way another credit to Reddit.
