Laura Kampf! Great series on restoring an old house in Germany and just lots of great maker content.

For sure one of the scariest moments in a video game.

Below Zero had far less open ocean, and far less just inky blackness. Plus I think if you played the original, you have an idea of what to expect. Nothing compares to dread of seeing a Leviathan come up from total darkness in the first one.

I love both Subnauticas, but there are really only 2.5 things this tells us:
-
Giant hermit crabs exist
-
Likely multiplayer
2.5. Maybe giant squids?
I am super excited either way

I know some recent Samsung fridges had issues with compressors getting frost build up on the outside causing damage. Wonder if that is a result of thinner/cheaper materials.
Vodulas 2d ago • 100%
I dunno if that is true of refrigerators. Newer fridges have more electronic components, vs just a compressor and some simple mechanics on older fridges. The cooling tech on fridges hasn't changed much, but the extra amenities sure have.

Twitter has DMs, plus it helps by not allowing that person to reply unless they create a new account.

No problem! If you want for sure confirmation, feel free to reply with a pic of the whole unit, but I am very confident based on your description it is good as is.

If I am imagining it correctly, it should be just fine! This is a pretty common design. The middle shelf provides the stability and the other shelves provide adjustability.

If there are holes in the case itself, you just need some shelf pins. If there are no holes, get a shelf pin jig and it should be quite easy to do.
Edit: An example of shelf pins. Should be able to find them at your local hardware store.

Huh, I have noticed that. I'll have to keep an eye out for it. I 100% agree any slowness is outweighed by ad blockers though.

Good news, there is cross device syncing. You just have to make a Firefox account. That might be a no go for some folks, but it is an option. If Firefox on mobile is slower, I have not noticed the difference. Have they just refused to try it?

Prey kinda kicked off the immersive genre. I think the thing folks are not getting is that this is not a best game of all time list, even though they say "100 best." It is a "100 Favorite Games of the PC Gamer Staff" list. It is going to be different than anyone's exact taste. There are a ton of games on there that I think would not be in my top 100, but I am not mad or confused about it. It's just something someone else is into.

What if I told you I find Valheim to be just fine, so I am surprised it is on this list? The subjectiveness of enjoying a game is a very large spectrum
Vodulas 5d ago • 100%
True. They did mention Doom and Doom: Eternal as being different enough to warrant both. Don't think that is true for BG2 and BG3 though
Vodulas 5d ago • 100%
There are not even 10 bad games on that list. Might not be to your taste, but that does not make them shit
Vodulas 5d ago • 100%
They set a rule that only one game from a series can be on the list. Half-Life 2 probably just beat 1 in the very subjective scoring.
Vodulas 5d ago • 100%
Nah, it is a long list. I missed Dishonored 2 on there.
Vodulas 5d ago • 100%
Good, because it is number 90
Vodulas 5d ago • 100%
Oh, totally. But the folks making the list might not even have thought of it if none of them play it.
Archive version: https://web.archive.org/web/20240726142307/https://www.rawstory.com/jd-vance-dolphin-search-history/ It has been so great to see how horrible Vance is as a VP pick. I would hazard a guess that nobody else would say yes to Trump after he was willing to sacrifice Pence.
We went camping for the first time since getting the twin pomskis. They did so good! The fluffier pomski (Bliss) and the little havapoo (Poppy) were in a heated competition for who could bring home more of the forest floor.
It is a very hot weekend here in Seattle, but we got some disc golf in before it was miserable
I am very excited for the 1.0 release! My friends and I are currently playing a multiplayer game in Update 8, and we are so close to finishing all the space elevator parts for the first time.
I don't know if there is enough interest, but is it possible to get a maker community created? Some things like 3d printing don't always quite fit into DIY or Creative.
We finished the last piece of the cat path I posted about earlier! This one goes from the laundry room, to the stairwell, and then into the guest bedroom on the upper floor (yes, I know the carpet needs replaced in that closet). They are already using them and seem to love the new path already. https://imgur.com/a/QExCWgN
My partner and I have been talking about making some cat paths in our house since long before we owned our house. We recently got 2 new dogs, so now it is a high priority project. The first step was putting up some shelves in the hallway and making a portal from the hallway to the bedroom closet (you can see it just above the tent). The surround for the portal is this 3D printed tunnel https://www.printables.com/model/3068-cat-door The next project is going to be putting a portal from the spare bedroom into the stairwell so they can go up and down floors without the dogs being in the way https://i.imgur.com/rxI55E4.jpg
I am stripping and re-sealing a corner shower stall, and am having a hell of time removing all the old caulk. I also discovered the previous homeowners decided to just caulk over the previous caulk that was on there, so I am removing 2 or 3 layers depending on the location. It was leaking in the spots that had 3 layers so I think they just added more caulk to "fix" leaks. I have the chemical caulk remover, and that certainly helps, but it still is taking a metric fuck-ton of manual labor. Any tricks/suggestions for removal of very old caulk? I am about to throw a scotch brite on a palm sander and go to town.
