It took me 3 years to pass HS algebra because the coaches/part-time math teachers didn't like the way I solved problems. I got the right answers. But the way I got them was wrong apparently.

In the US the cruelty is the point. We will never end homelessness here because its an intended feature of our economic system. It's a constant threat to workers. Coercing them into accepting low wages and long hours in the name of stability.

Hospital "groups" (cartels) are a fkin plague.

They build or buy the biggest hospital around. Then buy up all the smaller clinics and whatnot. Close them and funnel all the Healthcare traffic through a handful of hospitals that are ran on skeleton crews. Nurses are overworked. Rural folks are just completely screwed.

Tolerance of intolerance.

We could circlejerk for days or just agree to disagree.

This push is coming from a US based nonprofit. Which of course means its actually coming from the CIA. It's meant to undermine the Chinese govt. Same as it always was. Were this organic growth not funded by the US state dept it might be tolerable. But it's not. This is politics by other means. And this debate is an intended part of it. If the Party allows it to grow the US gains inroads. If they stamp it out they're evil oppressive tyrants. Win win for the US.

The US cannot win economically. And its afraid to try militarily. All the force projection we can muster doesn't mean much in the face of a standing army as large as China has. So this is what they resort to.

Which incidentally isn't at all dissimilar to how this religion originally developed.

I go to the larder and gather ingredients to break my fast with some fried salt pork, eggs, and pan bread. Then I go outside to check the firewood stores. If they're sufficient I'll fire up the forge and begin work on a Damascus Billet that I have tentative plans to make into either a skinning knife or a small hatchet. With a Hickory Handle.
