I definitely try to avoid it. Whenever there's an (active) alternative community available, I prefer that.

Why midwest.social? I definitely agree with the rest though.

"go kill yourself"
"Have a nice life."
Seems a little contradictory to me

That's actually cool! Iceland goes even further, and publishes the code for all their digital government services on GitHub: https://github.com/island-is
I was fascinated when I first saw this

Do you also use it for TOTP?

Proton Pass is not the only password manager with email aliasing integration. For example, 1Password integrates with Fastmail aliases, and Bitwarden can be used with multiple services: addy.io, SimpleLogin, Firefox Relay, Fastmail, DuckDuckGo Email Protection, and Forward Email.

One of my favorites is the built-in ssh-agent.
You can accomplish the same thing using Bitwarden, completely for free: https://github.com/joaojacome/bitwarden-ssh-agent

Android has password auto-fill by default, and it works with most password managers, including Bitwarden

Probably the Steam Deck, since it lets you play both Java Edition and Bedrock Edition

I never thought so many people who meet online get into actual relationships, not just one night stands.

Oh they definitely made some big changes since you last tried it. A year ago, I wasn't really happy either. Now, it's perfect for me. YMMV, but you'll definitely see big improvements.

Definitely not the first, surely not the last war crime committed by the iSSraeli fascist government
I remember there being an option to filter starred repositories by language, now I can't find it anymore. The button is just gone. Some older GitHub documentation still shows the option: ![https://docs.github.com/en/get-started/exploring-projects-on-github/saving-repositories-with-stars#organizing-starred-repositories-with-lists](https://lemm.ee/api/v3/image_proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Flemmy.dbzer0.com%2Fpictrs%2Fimage%2F09246caf-3275-4692-bb2a-b8bb8a0f8749.webp)

There used to be a Kbin instance called feddit.online, which was shut down. @Jerry@hear-me.social just announced on Mastodon, that he brought feddit.online back to life, this time using PieFed. PieFed is a pretty neat alternative to Lemmy and Kbin/Mbin, created by @rimu@piefed.social and of course it's fully free and open source on Codeberg: https://codeberg.org/rimu/pyfedi It has some cool features like “Topics”, which are basically groups of multiple communities that you can view all at once (similar to these Lemmy feature requests: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/3071 https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ui/issues/1113).
Just wanna try out and see if this actually appears in the "Mentions" tab of the notification section of my Mastodon account @Andromxda@hachyderm.io

To save resources on that box, I'd like to run the web interface on my own server at home, and only have the Mastodon backend running on the VPS. Is it possible to completely get rid of the web interface and only access the instance through the API? What's the best way to achieve this? Does anyone have experience with this, or do you know any useful resources?
