I thought Lemna was dead but yesterday’s test flight release is fantastic! Best lemmy app out there now!
Just wondering what the status of this app is. The TestFlight build will expire in a week, there isn’t an App Store version, and there hasn’t been a post or comment from the dev in 4 months. @gromdroid is it dead?
It looks like it may be happening because I have commenters’ instances visible and larger text size selected. Not the worst thing, just minorly inconvenient. I am still thoroughly enjoying the app and use it pretty frequently. @gromdroid I hope you get the chance to continue refining it as time and life permits. Thanks again for your efforts.

If I close the app for a few minutes and then reopen it, I’ll usually swipe down to refresh the post I was on, and the app crashes.
Problem: when placed on the bottom, the jump button blocks the last comment in a thread. Solution: Need to be able to scroll past the top of the jump button on the last comment
Feddit.uk are going through some changes (admins, domain host and more) and it looks as if existing accounts are being asked to log in again. On other clients this seems to be working fine. However for Lemma my credentials are being rejected. I am sure I am using the same credentials as I have on Memmy and other apps but no matter what I try the credentials are being rejected. I have tried uninstalling the app and adding the account again but it still doesn’t work. Any ideas?
https://sh.itjust.works/comment/7495495 On this comment thread, I can’t seem to generate a share with more than 3 total images, either 4 comments or 3 comments and OP both fail. Upon hitting share, nothing happens. At 3 or less images an output image is generated and the share sheet appears.
I first just want to say thanks again for putting the time and effort that goes into making Lemma. It’s still my main Lemmy app. I just noticed after making a post a few minutes ago that the post in-app shows a much old timer. For example, I posted about 7 minutes ago (which shows on the browser) but Lemma shows 6h. The post prior to that one showed something like 12h when I first posted it. Is that maybe referencing when the server synced or how ever that works between instances? Those were both posts to instances other than my home one. Edit: I tried it on the same instance has my home instance and similarly got 6h ago
Visually it looks as if the refresh is done, and there’s nothing new. But then a few seconds later the inbox actually refreshes. I expect the pinwheel to keep spinning until the refresh operation is complete. As it stands, I pull to refresh, and just wait like 3 seconds to see if new messages pop up. Obv not huge, just wanted to document the unexpected behavior.
When editing a comment and posting the edit, if you then want to re-edit the comment you get the original comment, not the edited version. This only happens when using the 3 dot menu on the right of the comment. If you tap and hold and use that edit, it shows the most recent. Supremely annoying.
Browsing all seems to generally be the best option for me with how I like to use the platform. But this does come along with a need to block lots of communities with content I known I’m never going to want. So I’d like the ability to long press a post in c/all and click an option to block the community that the post is from. Right now my flow is: Post menu -> community -> community menu -> block community -> go back to c/all This feature would remove 3 out of 5 of those actions. Bonus if posts from that community are removed from the the feed immediately, maybe just new ones below the current location on the feed.
Lets see if it happens at all with this post. When im typing, sometimes a bunch of text (a repeat of previously typed text) shows up after my cursor, but then goes away again if i keep typing. Except, sometimes all that text actually stays and i end up with weird double-speak in my comments. I’m gonna try and see that it takes to make it do it again. It seems to only happen when I’m tap typing (as opposed to swyping) Seems it didnt want to actually do the part where it inserts the duplicates text.  
It looks like my post and comment scores read 0 after the Lemmy 0.19 on my instance (lemm.ee). I’ve had upvotes since the update and the comment and post scores still read 0 now. The same thing is showing on another app as well. Is this expected or is anyone else experiencing this? edit: Now that I added another profile and switched back to my original profile, it loads the scores of the original but not the second profile.
By default you have to swipe from the very left of the screen. Like Apollo once had, it would be great to be able to disable all right swiping and then have full screen swiping when going back.

When changing what gestures do in Settings > Gestures the color doesn’t change with the gesture you choose. Ex. Reply to Long swipe and bookmark to short swipe. The gestures change but reply now has a green background and bookmark is blue.
If I open image on a post from feed, then dismissing it with swipe up or down, after the application returns to the feed, I am not able to scroll for a second. After that time period everything is back to normal. Thanks!
If I pull from top on feed it does refresh, but it doesn’t hide read posts. I have to go to left sidebar, pick the feed again and then it works as expected. It was working fine in previous version. Thanks!
As the title says, all redgif videos don‘t have sound
Normally, list items have an active state when they are being tapped (example from Mlem):  Lemma doesn't seem to have any special state for an active list item. This can make it seem like one didn't actually touch the item, it feels kind of weird to use.
When I go through profile -> posts, I cannot see my own posts, it always says that I’ve reached the bottom. I have set to hide read posts in feed, but didn’t enable this option in lemmy UI. Thanks!

When the username display is turned off from in the settings, the username display disappears in the post details

Regardless of the switch selection, the menu item is always gray.
I have an issue, that upvotes sometimes do not register correctly. I receive one haptic and not second one, and the upvote is not placed. I have to repeat it twice or three times for it to take place. Thanks! Edit: I figured it out! If I swipe fast enough, then the feature is not recognized. If I swipe slow or slower, then everything is fine.
It looks like this is probably in the works since the Use System Text Size option doesn’t do anything currently but just in case it isn’t I’d like the option to increase text size from the system default.
Please give us the option to block (not filter) a community. I mean the option that is integrated in Lemmy. Great would be an option to do it also directly from feed post. Thanks!

There’s no space between the last post of a page and the first post of the next page when disabling show page endings. 
**Things I Like:** * The new icon and color options are cool! * Multi-communities! * Still love the sepia theme and comment cascade color options. * The gif scrubber is always super helpful, and it feels a bit more tuned now and not so sensitive (some short gifs before were really touchy to scrub). * Hide Read button on Feed. * I’m not sure if it was present before, but the Mod, Admin, Dev tags are very nice. * Switching icon left/right/none and thumbnail size options for Compact View. * The Tap to Collapse toggle can be set to only comments. I like this because I never really need to close a post and accidentally close it trying to click a link in the post. * The Lemma scroll distance was a fun little finding. **Things that didn’t work:** * I could not logout of my account. I added a second account from another instance (I didn’t see a toggle to switch between, I think it just logged in “overtop” of my first account). I was able to remove the second account, but when I tried to logout of the original account, the Logout button didn’t log me out. [cue Sword Art Online - “Guys…there is no…Logout button…”] * Directly clicking the link/image from the Feed sometimes only marks it as read and does not actually open the post or link/media. * I think the No Subscribed in All option resulted in not loading my Subscribed posts at all. All and Local worked, but Subscribed only loaded when I disabled the No Subscribed in All toggle. * Switching to a sort other than the default for the Feed switches right back to the selected default sort. **Things to maybe change:** * Please please add text size options, at least for comments and posts’ text. * Disable Hide the Scroll Bars while in the menus. Sometimes I need to pull down quite a bit to get them back to exit the menus. * With Show Username at Top disabled for posts, they disappear from comments as well. * The Search is generally very nice and actually finds things I’m looking for. I think the filters could be a bit more clear though. If possible, maybe add No NSFW as a filter; because even with it de-selected, there are NSFW results that appear. *Thanks again* for all of the work that goes into this. It always amazing me what people like you can accomplish to share ideas and experiences with each other. Or cat memes or whatever ya know. This update makes it by far one of my favorites to use.
The update is great but for gestures I’d love a way to keep swiping right to upvote/downvote/etc but allow any swipe left to go back (a la Apollo). Right now you have to disable all swipes to be able to “swipe anywhere to go back”. Also I would love to be able to swipe right on the main feed to go back to the last comment feed I was drilled into. I miss that feature so much from Apollo.

I am really liking the first public TestFlight build. All of the key features are here and performance is very good. Everything looks to be working well but I do have two points. Firstly the mark read option seem to be a little ‘sensitive’. If I tap a post and then return a few posts after the one I tap on are also marked as read. A small things but one to be aware of. Secondly whilst typing this message I am seeing a fair amount of post ‘jumping’ and copying of the message already written. The last one is a little odd. If I keep typing it sorts itself. Finally I can see that you have text size as a holder in the options. Please see if you get to that one soon - as someone who struggles with his sight (I put it down to age!) the comment text particularly is a little too small. All-in-all you have written a really good app. I look forward to following and trying out the updates as they are released. Well done.
