CNC, Milling and GCode
I don't know what to write about it yet, since it still can't move on its own. 😅 This community is tiny, so I'll just post photos of the build now and then. When I've gained a bit of experience, then hopefully I can help others with their CNCs.
Combination of 3D printing and aluminum. Nearly all of the plastic bits are under fairly high compression to negate any slop. It's primary use is for milling circuit boards, but I would like to mill small aluminum parts as well. I am going to use this one to mill better parts for another upgrade in the future.
I'm looking at buying the genmitsu 4040 pro swapping the spindle out for a Makita router I already have to initially make coins. Will this give me the detail that I see online from other makers? Additionally, does anyone have tutorial recommendations for learning how to convert images for use with the above?
My old collector has been giving me issues, so I designed a new one that bolts into a 5 gallon bucket. It's easy to print, easy to assemble, and works very well. I've published it to thingiverse for others to enjoy. There are a few adapters published that include the HFT Bauer mini shop vac (for suction) and 1.75" utility hose that is standard to most regular shop vacs.
