Mojang Studios and Blackbird Interactive have officially announced the cessation of development for Minecraft Legends, a unique action-strategy spin-off released on Apr. 18, 2023. Despite continuous efforts to address issues and engage the community with updates, Legends failed to captivate players.

New speedrun world records for Java Minecraft don't happen very often nowadays so figured I'd post it for those interested

I made a relatively small fabric pack (about 100 mods, which I think is small by today's standard?). Something that bugs me is that due to mod dependencies, the pack has like 5 or 6 mods just dedicated to configs (Forge Config API Port, YetAnotherConfigLib, Cloth Config, owo lib, etc). I know why this is the case ([relevant xkcd that everyone has probably already seen](https://xkcd.com/927/)) but it's annoying nonetheless.

I'm thinking to make one because the food mod requires milk, so I think to make one, but is it possible?

The great thing about minecraft is being able to choose which version to play on. maybe you like 1.20 where they added Camels and bamboo wood, or maybe you prefer 1.19 where servers had more independence. Or maybe you are old school and prefer your poppies being called roses and your spiders not being able to jump two blocks high.

There's this one and !Minecraft@lemmy.world this one seems to be a smaller one and wouldn't it be good to create communities that run together instead of separate into multiple smaller ones that make no sense and get less traffic?

If this decides to pop-off who are going to be moderators? I have a few things to say about this. 1. We should especially watch the moderators that come over from moderating r/Minecraft if they come over. 2. There is one moderator (in r/Minecraft, still on the team) that should not be allowed to moderate at all because of their actions. 3. If yall need help moderating, I can help. Don’t worry if not, I understand that people shouldn’t just trust anyone on the internet.

For the uninitiated, *Everafters SMP* is both a invite-only fantasy-themed academical Minecraft server and an online video series whose premise somehow takes inspiration from the *School of Good and Evil* book series from the late 2010s, even as evidenced in this opening cinematic, posted by bumbyJake less than 18 hours ago. Included within the cast is Shubble of Empires SMP fame, and magicSINGS of former Outsiders SMP fame.

I am in the process of preparing our server world for migration to 1.20 and thought I would share my experience with [MCA Selector](https://github.com/Querz/mcaselector) so far. A [youtube video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMF5CJEjXTQ) from Pixelriffs a few years ago pointed me in this direction. Some things to note about MCA Selector U/I which confused me a bit when I first used the app. * Left Mouse button selects chunks * Middle button is used to grip and move the map * Right button deselects the chunk I used a 1 minute rule to select chunks for deletion. This should avoid removing anything of importance to my players. Some smoothing must done manually with such a tight time rule. Finally, Backup, Backup and Backup again. Just in case.

MCC Pride 23 is today. Of you haven't seen an MCC before, it's 40 streamers in 10 teams of 2. They play mini games for points, and the top two teams play a game called Dodgebolt to determine the winner. Each player streams independently so watchers get a unique perspective on the tournament. This specific event is to celebrate pride month, so it is a little different from the standard MCC events. This event will be raising money for the Trevor Project.
